Simple, fun and surprisingly addictive!
You need to vibrate air by humming into the instrument to produce any sound. Increased air flow and harder blowing will result in a louder sound.
Different sounds can be made by singing different syllables like doo, who, rrrr, brrr. The vibration from the kazoo will be transferred to the lips giving a sensory input.
Blowing into the kazoo with your lips closed around the mouthpiece will not make sound.
Educational Tip:
Provides an opportunity to receive oral motor input, as well as developing sucking, blowing and breathing patterns that support regulation and motor planning skills.
